The Brown Beauty in its natural habitat.

I love this sweater. Love the shaping, love the sleeves, and love the color. Yay. Still deciding on the button, but I can always change that.

More photos:

Trying to do the Fluffa "Look,Ma,no hands!" pose.
And also trying to show off my bell sleeves.

And just in case you still weren't sure what it looked like:

Where I try to pose like the Phildar model.
Where I show you the back of the sweater.

This sweater was so fun to make, a fairly quick knit, and I think I'll wear it LOTS. Hooray!

Honeymoon Cami #2

Pattern: Honeymoon Cami, by Mind of Winter Julia, for Knitty.com
Yarn: Dale of Norway Svale, four skeins
Needles: size 6 circs? I think

camione.jpg
Pretty, summery honeymoon cami.
And here's what happens when we try to take a pic in the mirror.

So, for me, this tank was all about yarn choice. I made the first one with a fairly heavy cotton yarn, and it just wasn't right for the project. It didn't drape well and it sort of sat on me like a suit of armor. This yarn (Dale of Norway Svale) is a silk blend and soft and swirly and yummy and drapey and clingy and PERFECT. Yay. I will wear the CRAP out of this tank top this summer.

JoAnna's Neckwarmer

Yarn: Lion Brand Kool Wool
Needles: Denise Circs, 6,8,10
Pattern: Ribbed Collar from Vogue Knitting knit.1, the first magazine

Here's Joanna modeling her new collar:

So fashionable. SO New York.**

I knitted up a quick gift for JoAnna since she will be battling the COLD in New York very soon !!
It looked perfect with her camel colored coat. This neck warmer is so fast and easy to knit, and has a pretty crochet edge. Here's another view of it: clicky click! I'm definitely making a few more of these because I like them, but also because I have oodles of Lion Brand Kool Wool in bizarre colors that I can use... (purchased for a dollar a skein from the clearance bin at Hancock Fabrics).

Jacob's Super Secret and Super Late Sweater

suave.jpg
That Jacob, he's so hot right now.

Jacob, being the good model that he is, gave me lots of poses to choose from:

Yarn: Winter Cotton from Elann.com
Needles: Denise Circs, Size 7 and 8
Pattern: Phildar Ribbed Sweater Pattern

The Thinking Pose.
The Back Shot.
The Jacob-is-laughing-because-he's-doing-all-these-cheesy-poses shot.

This was supposed to be a Christmas present, and ended up being a Valentine's present. Woot.
