about carrieoke1. I am an identical twin.2. I used to be a radio DJ when I was in college. 3. I have waited tables and worked in two different coffee shops. 4. I am left handed, and my twin is right handed. We're mirror twins. 5. I own my own karaoke machine with a 2000 song catalog.
6. I have played the piano for my whole life.7. I have an irrational fear of thunderstorms and tornadoes. 8. I am an Instructional Designer and grad student in Instructional Design by day. 9. I am Carrieoke of Bling the Children Back Home by night. 10. I first wanted to knit after seeing my friend Leslie do it. 11. I love to scrapbook. 12. I hate to cook. 13. I have two dogs named Bella and Chili, who are absolutely perfect. 14. Except that Bella sometimes hits my face with her paw to wake me up. And Chili can jump our six foot privacy fence. 15. My first dog that was my very own was named Greta. She died severalyears ago at the age of two and a half. I miss her lots. 16.I would like a tattoo, but I can't think of anything I want tattooed on me. When I do, I'm getting one. So, I thought of one and got it! You can see it here: Needle Art 17. I met my husband (Jacob!) at a karaoke bar. 18.Jacob and I had mutual friends who were going to karaoke. 19. He proposed at that karaoke bar in April of 2006. 20. We got married in October of 2007! 21. I got a perfect score on my SAT verbal in high school. I did NOT get a perfect math score 22. I call cute dogs, my friends, my husband, my sisters, my nephew, and lots of other things "schmoo". 22. My dogs Bella and Chili thinks their names are Schmoo. 23. If I could be anything in the world, I would be a singer. 24. We have many, many bonsai trees. Jacob takes care of them, and he is great at it. 25. I'm a great speller. 26. Incorrect punctuation irks me. Especially misused apostrophes. 27. Misspelled words irk me too. 28. Sometimes my husband purposely spells things wrong to irritate me. 29. I was raised Catholic. 30. I don't go to Catholic church anymore, but I think the services are beautiful. 31. I went to Catholic school from 3rd - 12th grade. 32. I had to wear a uniform for that long too! 33. I won the school spelling bee in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. 34. I went on to the Archdiocesan spelling bee all three years -- and I won second place all three years. 35. I still have my spelling trophies. 36. In grade school, the boys called me and my sister "dogs" and barked at us. 37. To get back at them in 4th grade, we brought dog food instead of cupcakes for them on our birthday. 38. I have a side business: [ Identity Web and Photo ]. 39. I smell my hand without realizing it when I'm concentrating really hard on something. My twin sister does too. 40. I have double jointed fingers. 41. I have a great phone voice. 42. I recorded the phone message system for the company I used to work for. 43. I am much more organized at work than I am at home. 44. I am an excellent typist. 45. I don't like George W. 46. I'm not registered under any political party, but I do vote. 47. I hate scary and violent movies. 48. I love cheesy romantic comedies and TV on DVD. 49. I love watching Project Runway, The 4400, Lost, Battlestar Galactica and Grey's Anatomy. I post about TV sometimes over [ here ]. 50. I watch way too much TV. 51. I went to an audition for "The Real World" when they came to Athens. 52. I didn't get cast. 53. I am terrible with money. 54. I drink two or more cups of coffee every morning. 55. I can say the alphabet backwards. 56. I can say the Hail Mary in French. I can also sing the French National Anthem. 57. I drove to the Atlanta auditions for "American Idol". The line was 4000 people long, so I left. 58. I still regret that...because now I'm too old to try out. They raised the age limit! I auditioned in 2004! 59. I totally got rejected by American Idol. 60. I have colitis. 61. I have had stomach problems my whole life. 62. Therefore, I am not embarrassed at all to talk about my stomach problems. 63. Which means that at every job I have ever had, I have called in sick at least once with "explosive diarrhea". 90% of the times I called in, I did have it. 64. The other 10% I didn't (but only if it was at a job I hated). Nobody questions "explosive diarrhea." 65. I was a very unathletic bookworm as a child. 66. I majored in English in college. 67. I have a Bachelor's Degree. I am working on a Master's Degree. 68. I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate. 69. I hate soft drinks. I don't drink anything carbonated. 70. I have entered a karaoke contest dressed as Pat Benatar and sang "Hit Me With Your Best Shot." 71. I have also entered a metal karaoke contest ...I sang a Guns and Roses song. 72.I can play a little bit of guitar. 73.I took a trapeze class... I wasn't very good. 74. I don't like exercising (but I'm doing it anyways). 75. I have a lot of debt that I am trying to pay off. 76. When it's paid off, I'm going to buy myself something big and extragavant. 77.It may be awhile! 78. I love to learn new computer skills. 79. I hate cold weather. 80. I hate flying. 81. I think gay marriage should be legal. 82. For two years, I played the piano every Sunday at a church in town that welcomes the GLBT community. I met some amazing people there. 83. I hate doing the dishes. 84.I smoke. I wish I didn't.I quit, for real this time. 85. Now I hate being around cigarette smoke. 86. My dog Bella sleeps in our bed with us. 87. I was born on July 13, 1978, five minutes after my sister Cathy. 88. We were supposed to be a 10-lb boy. 89. Instead, we were two 5-lb girls. 89.They had a girl name picked out, but my sister was born first so she got it. I didn't have a name for a few days. 90. I want to tour the world with a band. 91. I want to own my own yarn shop. 92. I want to foster doggies one day. 93. I am good at singing harmony. 94.I can sight-read music. 95. I am completely unathletic.Well, now I've run two half-marathons. So I guess that kinda counts. 96.I love reading these lists on other people's blogs. 97. I started my knitting blog in early 2003. 98. I moved to carrie.prettyposies.com in July of 2003, and I moved to carrieoke.net in July of 2005. 99.I can't remember what I did with my spare time before I started knitting. And then there was Ravelry. 100. I love my life, my family, my friends and all my online friends. I hope to continue meeting them in real life! |
